The 53rd Anniversary Celebration of the Friendship 9’s historic “Jail, No Bail” sit-in and arrest for refusing to give up their seats at McCrory’s Five and Dime lunch counter will be held March 14, 2014 at the Palmetto Room in Rock Hill from 6-8 p.m. We will celebrate this moment in history with the release of a book NO FEAR FOR FREEDOM: THE STORY OF THE FRIENDSHIP 9, which will highlight the anniversary celebration.
